A native of Forest City, Mr. Hugelen was a pioneer in aviation and many of his mementos are on display including his gyrocopter and a parachute.
Ida Pinckney Fuller Display
Ida Pickney Fuller was born in Forest City but was destined to travel the world and share her talents. This dancer entertained audiences with her most famous dance the “Fire-Dance” as well as others including “The Butterflies”, “The Spirit of the Storm” and “The Sorceress of Vescivious”. Come and view this extensive collection which includes Fuller’s costumes, personal belongings, posters, and more from her worldwide journeys.

Mansion Museum
The Mansion Museum is the home of the Winnebago Historical Society and also features the Leibrand-Whiteis Historical Center. The Museum which was built at the turn of the century was built as the home of banker Charles J. Thompson. The Museum in addition to being a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture is also currently home to a variety of unique and rare collections and exhibits.
