The Mansion Museum is open June through August each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., or by appointment. Admission is $7 for adults. Children age 12 and under are admitted free. Call Tracy Gomez at 641-432-3855 or email winnebagohistoricalsocietyed@gmail.com for tour information.
Mansion Museum
The Mansion Museum is the home of the Winnebago Historical Society and also features the Leibrand-Whiteis Historical Center. The Museum which was built at the turn of the century was built as the home of banker Charles J. Thompson. The Museum in addition to being a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture is also currently home to a variety of unique and rare collections and exhibits.
